About Our Church

Relational · Open · Depth

Mount Cotton Community Fellowship is a unique church – a group of friends rather than an institution. We represent a cross-section of people in the local and surrounding areas; of various ages, backgrounds and experiences. We are a Christ-centered Christian church, holding firmly to the teachings of the Bible, affirming our faith in our triune God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and being intentional in our gathering together. Our call has been to plant and build a church that is simply a fellowship of believers –  so we have kept our focus on God as primary and our style of meetings as secondary.

Our Purpose

Together we seek to know God, build relationships, serve our community and touch the world.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see the life of Jesus making a life-changing difference in our community.

Our Fellowship

Our fellowship is part of Church Of The Nations, an international family of relational churches. In Australia we are also part of Crosslink, and we operate as a ministry of Calvary Family Church.

We Believe in Being Simple & Focused

We believe in simple church, focused on worship, teaching and fellowship. We meet wherever it is convenient for our group to gather. This has included various homes, some meetings in local halls, camp grounds and the open air. We obey God’s Word as fully as we can, including breaking bread together, sharing life and possessions where there is need, tithing and giving, praying corporately and being very active in outreach and mission. We place very little emphasis on tradition, and we greet everyone as a brother or sister in Christ, should they choose to visit us once, or stay for a short or longtime. Ultimately, our purpose is to sense God and follow His lead, so we can say, “We are about our Father’s business.”

We Celebrate Our Diversity

The church is comprised of wonderful families and individuals, young and old, with an an array of interests and experiences. Our belief is that each person adds to the overall expression of who we are, and we celebrate their company for as long as we are able to journey together. In Mount Cotton Community Fellowship we don’t see children and youth as the church of tomorrow – we know they are a vital part of the church right now, and they are free to express their thoughts, opinions and questions just like everyone else.
